Performance Distributors’ Sultans Of Spark  ignition coils are a popular ignition-system upgrade for modern and classic muscle car enthusiasts across the country. So, it came as no surprise when the company announced that Ford Coyote owners looking to add a bit more spark to their ignition system will now be able to take advantage of the SOS coil systems as well.

The new Sultans Of Spark coils are designed with updated technology and enhanced windings that will give Coyote owners an increase in voltage for each coil from 25,000 to 40,000 volts under load.

“We build our coils to use heavy-gauge windings and more windings per coil than the OEM parts,” Steve Davis, of Performance Distributors, told us. “Doing this allows the coil to transfer energy throughout the operating range of the engine more efficiently.”

The result is a high-performance coil that is built to perform consistently from idle through the shift point and redline.

“What you can expect from these coils, is a faster, more reliable, and hotter ignition spark, which of course, helps to prevent the engine from misfiring.”

The coils install easily in the OEM location and feature brass terminals for corrosion resistance and improved conduction. The Ford Coyote SOS Coils (PN 31650) are available for purchase as a single coil or a set of eight.
