National midget auto racing Hall of Fame driver Stan Fox died on this day in 2000 on a Desert Road in Auckland, New Zealand. Fox's van collided head on with a car, killing him. The dirt racing legend was only 48 years old. He was best known for a scary crash at Indy in 1995. Watch the video here.
