Video: Wild ’67 Chevy C10 With A Radial Plane Engine Under The Hood

c103SEMA 2014 was full of surprises, glamour, and glitz. From custom cars to new vehicle unveils, SEMA is always full of surprises. As a result, SEMA 2014 brought this – a 1967 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck with a plane engine under the hood.

Winner of the Eastwood ‘Hands-On Awards’ for best fabrication, this C10 is nothing short of spectacular. Fully custom and unique with its own entity, this C10 is fabrication at its most finite level.

Custom-fabricated inside and out, this C10 is an immaculate build that caught the eyes of many at SEMA 2014. Chris Daley and TP Certified Hot Rods was a project that merely a wild vision.

To bring this vision to reality is astonishing with its polished rotary air-cooled airplane engine tucked nicely under the hood. What is quite a different way of looking at a car, it is ridiculous to think a plane engine can fit into a car.

Keeping it simple and bare inside the C10 pickup truck.

Custom paint, suicide doors and a simple design aesthetic demonstrates that you don’t have to have the flashiest car on the block to gain praise. This C10 truck is fresh and truly a sight to behold.

Baring all, this truck is simple even inside. With parts showing and a basic gloss black dashboard, we couldn’t imagine what it must be like while this truck is in motion.

The fact it has a plane engine again is baffling; it may not be the first time this has been accomplished, but it definitely stood out against the custom race cars, hot rods, and muscle cars it was competing against.

What are your thoughts on this custom plane engine driven C10? Is it overkill? Be sure to comment below.
