It is hard to place Toyota Supra and Lamborghini Gallardo in the same sentence. However, this Supra is fast enough it would be mentioned quite a few words ahead of the bullish Italian.
Posted by ” target=”_blank”>That Racing Channel, Real Street Performance’s 1,100 horsepower Toyota Supra made short work of several cars at the TX2K15’s Roll Race Nationals in Houston, Texas. Cars that fell victim to the Real Street Supra include a 1,200 horsepower Porsche 911 Carrera and two 1,300 horsepower Supras.
However, it is the Supra’s victories over two 2,000 horsepower Lamborghini Gallardos built by Underground Racing that surprised everyone at TX2K15. Even with a huge horsepower advantage, the Lambos both fell behind early and never closed the gap.
Tuned by Jay Meagher of Real Street Performance, the Supra has a Precision 8685 Generation 2 turbocharger, a Gato Performance intake manifold, Nitrous Express direct port injection, FTI TH400 transmission and converter, and 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson tires in the rear.
Although the cost was high to build this beast, we can’t knock its ability to put a spanking on these supercars. Also, the fact that the Supra weighs 3,800 pounds and is still victorious is astounding.
All hail the 2JZ! With this Supra doing 100-150 mph in 2.7 seconds, this is truly a monster and it only has six cylinders. Standing tall against tuned V-10 Gallardos, we can’t help but applaud Real Street Performance for tapping into the power of Toyota’s 2JZ engine. What are your thoughts on this Supra?
