Video: TX2K14 Throws Down With Record Number Dyno Day

With some of the sickest rides gathering from across the country for TX2K14, some hard hitting car enthusiasts were on hand for a serious throw down on the Hennessey Performance dynamometer recently. In its 15th year of existence, TX2K has evolved from the Texas Supra Nationals to now include many other makes and models and is also the official National GTR meet.

TX2K growing bigger with each year of passing has become the yearly event to attend for many in the auto scene. Peter Black, the event’s organizer, and his many sponsors bring together horsepower-autoholics every year for a chance to earn some street cred and bragging rights, and to enjoy camaraderie among friends.

A three day gathering that includes Dyno Day, Rolling Racing Nationals, Drag Racing, and the Epic Night Meet, in attendance you will find some of the newest, fastest, most powerful rides rolling into this power charged weekend long show down.

With a large number of rides hitting the dyno (mostly turbocharged sports cars) TX2K14 set a record number, with eighty five cars dropping some bangin’ numbers in an eight hour period. Taking the number one spot in the non-Supra/non-GTR Street Car Class was Jason Mullit in his twin turbo supercharged nitrous Ford GT with 1022 HP to the rear wheels. Moving to Super Class, no holds barred, Jessica Barton with her Toyota Supra Double D Tuning Build dropped an impressive 1304 HP, taking the number one spot in her class. Lastly the top spot in the GTR Class was Victor Alvarez of Induction Performance, with his all wheel ride hammering out 824 HP.

With plenty of machines to feed the auto enthusiasts addiction, from American muscle to a host of GTRs and Supras, TX2K14 succeeded in executing another slammin’ year. Gearing up for TX2K15, if you are TX2K bound, stop by their site for more info on next year’s event and a list of the full schedule.

About the author

Bridgett Davis

Growing up in Greenwood, Indiana a short distance from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, my dad would take me to local car shows and events. Through this I gained my passion. Along with cars, I have always loved photography, writing, and graphic arts. However when attending college I did not pursue my passions. I played it safe and majored in business and marketing. After a few years in this field I determined this was not for me and began to pursue a writing and photography career. Landing me here with Power Automedia. I am also now the business owner of Bridgett's Toxic Creations. Specializing in automobile showboards, custom license plates, logos, and website headers. Living and breathing the Mustang life everyday in everyway. To be able to work in my field of passion is amazing and fun experience everyday. The best part is sharing a common passion with others.
