Although it has no motor or paint, this first generation 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is out of this world. A blend of old school and modern design aesthetics, this Camaro, dubbed the Illusion is a wondrous idea that turned heads and caused double takes at SEMA 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Built by Relentless Rides in Ukiah, California, they specialize in bringing unique custom hot rods from concept to reality. If you can dream it, they can make it a reality.

From its super wide fenders and deep dish wheels to its futuristic rear end, the Illusion is a specimen that is different from the rest. It may not sit well with older car enthusiasts, but it doesn’t look weird either.

It’s as if this Camaro jumped into a time machine and came back. It’s body lines lowered and supercar air ducts along the sides added, the Illusion is a vision into the future of automotive design. The Illusion may be an eye sore to classic car enthusiasts, but Relentless Rides shouldn’t be discouraged by any naysayers.

As they always say, people are going to hate when you’re doing something right. The Illusion is an ambitious redesign of the first-generation Camaro, complete with a seamless body kit and snow white paint.
