Video: “The King” Offers to Make Dreams A Reality at Petty’s Garage

Richard Petty certainly knows a thing or two about speedy cars. He’s a racing legend from a pioneering NASCAR family, a racing team owner, car collector and entrepreneur. Now the Petty racing legacy continues with cars and performance products from Petty’s Garage.

Petty’s Garage can trace its legacy of high performance to 1949 with Lee Petty’s NASCAR debut and first win. Since then the Petty name and reputation has become legendary and continues to be revered anywhere car people get together. This You Tube video features Richard Petty as he talks about the services and products available from Petty’s Garage and the philosophy behind that drives their business.

The Petty racing facilities had for years been located in Randleman, North Carolina. In 2007 the entire Petty racing program relocated to a larger and more modern facility in Mooresville, North Carolina just a short distance away. However the Randleman location did not fall idle for long. In June 2008, the old shop was chosen to be the location for undertaking restoration projects in Richard Petty’s personal collection and with that, became known as Petty’s Garage.

As knowledge of the activities being undertaken at the garage became more widely known, other enthusiasts began to inquire about having their own projects restored, modified and in some cases created by the team that was assembled and trusted by “the king.”

Since then, Petty’s Garage has expanded to be a full service automotive fabrication shop  High performance vehicles available from Petty’s Garage include specially prepared Challengers, Chargers and Mustangs. They are also equipped to create nearly any dream vehicle that a customer may desire. Lots more information about the products and services they offer can be found at the Petty’s Garage website and at the Petty’s Garage Facebook page.

Paul tries to find something likeable and interesting about anything with wheels and thinks that the people, history, and culture of hot rodding are often as important to the story as the cars and events being featured.
