Ken Block is up to his old tricks again. For Gymkhana EIGHT, Block and his team have created a highly unique, directionally reflective, black-on-black livery that changes looks depending on the angle at which it’s viewed, as well as how light is hitting it. The video serves to give fans their first official glimpse of Block’s Fiesta in Gymkhana EIGHT trim and how it changes looks in the light. We are surprised to see his Rallycross Fiesta because Block had been building an old school 1978-vintage Ford Escort RS for this motion picture event. Who knows what will happen??? Too bad because that old-time rally piece was the shizz.
With the arrival of the latest Gymkhana video dropping next Monday February 29th, Hoonigan has released a subsequent capsule clothing collection that features the Gymkhana EIGHT black-on-black livery. Each piece has a reflective ink and clear gel ink pattern that gives the pieces 3D depth and emulates the reflective livery. The Limited Edition capsule includes fleece, tees, tanks, socks and a collaboration Melin x Hoonigan hat all which capture the livery featured in the highly anticipated video.
Ken Block’s Gymkhana EIGHT drops February 29th at 9 PM PST on the Ford Performance YouTube channel, be sure to tune in and watch Block decimate his brand new Toyo tires. The Hoonigan Gymkhana EIGHT capsule is now available at Hoonigan.com and other rad retailers near you. We can’t wait to see the action unfold … the big question is will the video break the internet?
