You’ve asked for them, and now we’re bringing them to you; more Studebakers! Just last night, long after we should have been on the road heading home from our day at the office, some of us stayed behind to scour the interwebs for unique and interesting news stories.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find anything interesting that we haven’t already covered. So we hopped into our DeLorean time machine and [re]discovered this vintage Studebaker commercial, circa 1957, featuring their entire lineup of cars.

Included in the two and a half minute ad are the President luxury sedan and Golden Hawk sport coupe, along with mentions of the Commander, the Champion, and the station wagon models.

Of course in typical 1950’s style, there’s an enthusiastic, muffled-sounding narrator who reminds us of those old Christmas specials that they show every year. “By, golly.”  You also gotta love how the actor playing a potential Studebaker owner “drives” through town and into outer space -with a car load of women, no less.

If it were only that simple. Had NASA simply purchased a fleet of Golden Hawks instead of building multi-million dollar space shuttles, could you imagine how much money they would have saved?

For a piece of added trivia, guess who that man is featured in the ad? Why that’s Tom Bosley, or to Happy Days fans, “Mr. C,” better known as Richie Cunningham’s pops!
