Bringing it back to his roots in New Hampshire, professional American drifter Ryan Tuerck wanted to throw a huge homecoming. Spotted on ” target=”_blank”>Youtube, witness Tuerck and his 2013 Scion FR-S as it gets sideways with such grace.
Growing up 50 miles away from the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Tuerck became the first drifter to tear up the oval speedway that is part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Nicknamed “The Magic Mile,” Tuerck looked to be having plenty of fun getting sideways on the course he had set up. With help from Milo the Moose from Gumout, we got to see Tuerck make drifting look so easy in his flared FR-S. With the the width of the speedway, it is surely used to Tuerck’s advantage, allowing him to get some serious angle along the curves on the speedway.
Gumout's mascot Milo the Moose was all over the speedway, following Tuerck's every move as he flew along the prestigious NASCAR speedway.
Finishing 4th overall in the 2015 Formula D Championship, he took home 1st place in 2015 following round 3 of Formula D in Orlando, Florida. An all-star in the drift arena, his 2JZ-GTE-swapped Scion FR-S is a blessing as it blends two popular Toyota applications, the FR-S and the Supra, into one. An iconic engine, the 2JZ-GTE represents the cream of the crop in the tuner realm. Specifically, Tuerck’s FR-S throws down a whopping 850 horsepower and 720 pound-feet of torque.
With plenty of power potential and an endless amount of options and directions to take it in, we’ve seen the 2JZ engine tear up the drag strip as well. The FR-S is kept under control by a set of BC Racing ZR series coilovers coupled with a Wisefab kit. Disc Brakes Australia shoes help put a stop to the FR-S’ 18-inch Fifteen52 Formula Classic LTW’s wrapped with 245/35/18 and 285-35/18 Hankook tires.
Tierce’s near-flawless driving is the highlight of this video. Hooning around the closed course, Milo the Moose makes several cameos throughout the video. From doing a solo pit stop on the FR-S to taking selfies and filming Tuerck doing donuts around him showed how skillful Tuerck is at the wheel. The Rocket Bunny V1 widebody kit on his FR-S fits right at home with fans of the over-fender hype that has taken the industry by storm.
Angerman (left) was chased by Tuerck in the background. Watching the two take on the turns showed how beautiful drifting can be when it's done right.
Even Steve Angerman stepped into the fun with his Nissan 240SX. Seeing the two drift side-by-side was pure bliss. Having his own show called “Tuerck’d” which is currently in its second season, Tuerck has kept his fans entertained, even teasing his latest build, a Ferrari engine swap into an FR-S. Currently ranked 12th in the 2016 Formula D Championship season, let’s be sure that we’ll be seeing plenty more of Ryan Tuerck and his FR-S.
