With Transformers, Cars and Planes already taken care of, there is a new movie in the works from some of Hollywood’s greatest minds, presumed to be called Monster Trucks. But if you’re hoping to get a plot summary or even the basis of the film just yet, you’re going to be sadly disappointed. What we can tell you, however, is that filming for the $100 million movie, set to be released next year, has started with a number of the heart-pounding killer trucks spotted in Chilliwack, British Columbia, according to Truck Yeah! Since 2013, there has been talk about Paramount’s big-budget movie called Monster Trucks, but even as filming commences, little information about the production has been released. But according to a number of resources, including publication Film School Rejects, Monster Trucks is slated to be Paramount’s answer to the lucrative Transformers series, similarly combining live action and computer animation to bring excitement to the big screen.

Among the cast of the flick, set to hit theaters May 29, 2015, are Hollywood funny man Rob Lowe, Suburgatory’s Jane Levy, actor and producer Danny Glover, and Lucas Till of X-Men fame. According to IMDb, the movie is being directed by Chris Wedge, director of Ice Age and Robots, in cooperation with screenplay writers Jonathan Aibel, Glenn Berger and Derek Connolly.

Though many people remain skeptical about the basis and popularity of the future movie, the vehicles, including movie-modified Dodge Rams and a more vintage-esque monster, appear to be quite cool. In the end, these may be the only highlights of the movie, which Paramount wants to turn into a franchise, but we won’t know for sure until the movie is released next summer, or at least a trailer comes out in the future.
