How awesome would it be if you had these two as next door neighbors? Sure, we’d love for them to be our neighbors, but there would be no doubt that these might tick off some of the local folk with their hooning ways. That’s good for them considering that this showdown is located in an abandoned neighborhood. These two Monster Energy drivers have full rein over these rural streets.

This video is evidence of these two joining forces to cause some chaos on the block, no pun intended. Watch what happens when these two are armed with the the keys to a Focus ST and a Volkswagon GTI. Ken Block is set on driving the 252 hp Focus ST with 270 lb-ft torque and lets Vaughn Gittin Jr. take the German-engineered 200 hp VW GTI with 207 lb-ft torque. Ken makes driving the Focus look ridiculously easy and fun as he drifts around the corners effortlessly. The GTI, complete with the German plaid seats, lags just a little as it lacks a little power and torque compared to the Focus ST. You could still tell that Gittin was having a blast chasing Block around. If we were asked to beat the crap out of a GTI, you can bet we’d jump at the chance.

When they finished up the their run, Gittin even steals the keys to the Focus and jumps in the drivers seat and both of them head out in the ST leaving the GTI behind in the dust. Now those are some hardcore Ford guys right there.
