Video: Fully Functional 3D Model Of 5th Gen Camaro Made Of Legos

Screen_Shot_2015-07-29_at_10.59.34_AMGR-bellIf you’re like us, whether as a kid or an adult, you’ve had to have played with Legos at some point in your life. If not, you’ve at least stepped on one barefoot and screamed in agony. Either way, Legos are a lot of fun, since you can basically build anything you like using them.

While some people follow instructions to the T, other individuals like YouTube user springoff go off and build something mad, and something totally badass without the use of paper instructions.

That individual used the Transformers Movies’ Bumblebee and the 5th gen Camaro for their inspiration to create a fully functioning 3D model, made of MOC Legos.

The Camaro model's scale is 1:8, making it much larger than the desirable 1:18 scale that's used in die-cast model cars.

One of the first things you’ll notice about this MOC Lego Camaro, is that it seems like everything that could function, can function. And you would be correct. The doors have the ability to open and close, the trunk does too, and the hood as well. In fact – under the hood is a modeled V8, which actually turns over too.

The model was built with over 4,000 parts and includes five different motors to provide power to the vehicle’s functions, such as turning the tires, powering the V8 under it’s hood, and even including “air-jacks” which are located under the vehicle’s frame.

And if that wasn’t cool enough, the vehicle features independent front and rear suspension, fully functioning headlights and tail lights, disc brakes, and a 5-speed sequential transmission with an automatic clutch.

We can't help but point out the extreme amount of detail that went into this model Camaro's V8 engine.
