Owning an American muscle car like the Chevy Camaro can bring near endless smiles. Whether you are wrenching, washing, or driving, there is something inherently enjoyable about having all the power and torque of a big bad American V8 at the beck and call of your right foot. This is all well and good when it is warm out, but when it gets cold and icy, rear-wheel drive plus lots of torque can make getting up a hill quite a hassle.

Or, if you’re really bored, wintry weather can add an extra dimension of fun to muscle car ownership. It depends on your outlook on life. For us though, these next two videos of Camaro antics in the snow are all about the entertainment value.

The first video comes to us from 2011, and very well could be during one of the weekly blizzards that buried the Northeastern United States that season. There’s at least a foot of snow piled up on that 4th-generation Camaro, and the owner seems to think he can just drive right over the snow. Though he tries, the fluffy white stuff proves quite capable of holding the Camaro in place. Chalk one up for Mother Nature.

The second video shows what happens when Camaro owners get bored and find an icy sheen on the streets. We would not recommend replicating the behavior in this video, as driving a rear-wheel drive muscle car (albeit in this case, a V6-powered one) up an icy hill is a recipe for disaster. Somehow the driver avoids damage while skating around the ice covered roads, though we’d suggest a flat parking lot would provide more potential for both fun and safety.
