A couple of weekends ago, Cadillac rolled out the all-new Elmiraj concept car at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This big, attractive, and technologically-advanced Cadillac coupe dropped jaws and shook our world with its twin-turbo 4.5 liter V8, strong and sweeping lines, and a hint at the design direction of future Cadillacs.

We love this concept, and we’re not alone. Funnyman and car guy Jay Leno had the privilege of checking out the Cadillac Elmiraj at the Pebble Beach Concours, and he seems to love this concept just as much as we do. We have to say, Leno has good taste.

The Elmiraj not only debuted a new engine, but a new Cadillac logo as well, and Jay notes that this car isn’t all that far away from being a production model. Leno notes many things about the Elmiraj that he likes, from the narrow and pointed LED headlights to the massive 22-inch rims. But his favorite feature, and this is an odd one, are the push-out door handles that he calls “simple and elegant.”

Jay spends much of the segment talking with GM’s Ed Welburn, and while the Cadillac chief lets Leno slip into the gorgeous and comfortable seats, there is no test drive for Tonight Show host. This does give Leno a chance to demonstrate that, unlike many concept cars, he can get into and out of the Elmiraj with ease.

That has us hoping this concept is in serious consideration for production, and once again Jay is on our side. Check this video out if you haven’t had enough Elmiraj yet. We sure haven’t.
