With all this talk about going green, hybrids and fluctuating gas prices, it’s surprising that we haven’t seen a car manufacturer attempt to convert one of our beloved American classics into an electric vehicle. Well, they’ve talked about it, but so far nothing of the sort has been done – thankfully! But what would happen if Chevy decided to transform it’s top of the line Corvette model into a green machine? Well, our friend Michael Brown shares his ideas in the spoof above.

Produced a couple years ago, this video has been around awhile, but that doesn’t take away from any of the satirical commercial’s hilarity. Behold – the All Green, All Electric ZR1!

That’s right, this bad boy will rocket you to 30 MPH in 1 minute and 20 seconds, draw 30 amps and shoot you through the quarter mile traps in just under 3 minutes with a top speed of 36 MPH.

What’s even more impressive is that the car offers an astounding 38 horsepower and 110 volts from its rechargeable AA batteries.

If you want to be environmentally responsible while owning a brand new ZR1, this is definitely the car for you. It even comes with an optional 6-mile extension cord so that you can drive around your neighborhood without even unplugging; for an additional cost of course…
