BBK Performance has released a game changing performance muffler: the VariTune. The VariTune Muffler will forever change the playing field in the modern muscle and off-road world by giving drivers on-the-go horsepower. BBK Performance is a manufacturer that specializes in modern muscle performance. Its VariTune muffler is a fully adjustable muffler which can be set for daily commuting or racing in just minutes.

By opening up the adjuster screw on the back of the muffler it transforms from a mild three chamber to a “more radical straight through design” that increases sound and horsepower. This works by allowing the exhaust to flow straight through the rear instead of through chambers.

You can keep it closed for your daily commute and open her up for performance while off roading. While using a 3.7L Chevy Colorado when the screw was fully opened, it increased sound volume up to 8 decibels and saw an increase of 10 to 15 horsepower over stock.

A difference in sound could be heard even at idle, and it gave the Colorado a deep growling rumble when opened. While revving the engine and cruising at 3,000 RPM, the exhaust sound became music to the ears. This was achieved using a little 3.7L; imagine how great this would sound with an LS7 or a 5.7L Hemi.
