Although cruise night burnouts seem to be a recipe for disaster here in the ‘States, the gearheads in Finland appear to have dialed it in to some degree, as evidenced by this clip from a recent Kerava Cruise Night.

While seeing any sort of vintage Detroit iron on European streets is reason enough to do a double take, there’s a few vehicles in this footage that are particularly noteworthy, like the burly Buick GS that makes short work of the rear tires when the driver dips into the throttle from low speeds, and a tubbed El Camino that looks the business as well.

And despite the fact there are at least two Mustangs here and the streets are slick from rain, none of the cars end up careening into any crowds. This is probably due in part to the fact that everyone seems to keep their speed in check even when lighting up the tires instead of trying to do their impression of Ken Block. Restraint is what allows us to have nice things, kids.

More than anything else, it’s just fun to see these cars in such unusual surroundings and with some interesting touches that you might not see here in the US. Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say, and with parts harder to come by in Finland that they are in, say, Los Angeles, it leads to some creative builds that we totally dig. And hey, burnouts!
