Handheld video camera technology has evolved to the point where HD camcorders are both affordable, and plentiful, allowing anybody with a few bucks an idea to make a high-quality video. Some use their talents to make documentaries shedding light on bad situations while others paint a portrait of an interesting character.

And then there are those who use the marvels of 21st century video technology to videotape themselves playing with remote control cars. But this is one R/C action movie worth a second look for both its production values and intensity. Starring two remote control Mustangs, this is a 90-second flick you have no reason to skip.

Produced by the FinalCutKing, this remote control action scene takes place in a city made entirely from cardboard, hot glue, and spray paint. It’s actually pretty amazing how these amatuer filmakers put together an entire city, including construction sites, restaurant tables, and even a fire hydrant that spouts water once hit. It’s a well-done backdrop if we’ve ever seen one.

Then the filmmakers invited two drifters from NtrioRCX to race their Ford Mustang Boss 302 replicas through the mini-city. After a chase involving a helicopter, missiles, and a whole lot of cardboard destruction, none of us saw the surprise ending come together. Yup, this is one of those YouTube videos you have to watch the whole way through to really enjoy, but trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
