Started in 1994 when Dave Pusateri, the owner of Trophy City in San Jose CA, came up with the idea of an event that featured a main that was fully inverted, putting the fastest cars at the rear for a passing filled race.  The event became known as the Trophy Cup and its remarkable history continues to this day. The race is a winged 360 sprint show that draws attention to the West Coast from across the country and has brought the best racers in the country out to the West Coast for the past 18 years.

Past winners include Brent and Tim Kaeding, Mark Kinser, Jac Haudenschild, Jason Meyers and Brad Sweet.

What truly makes the Trophy Cup unique is the cause behind the event. It is best described by the organization that co-ordinates and conducts the race: “The Trophy Cup organization has supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation every year and every penny of entry fees is given to the cause.  Additionally, activities such as a golf tournament, auction, and other items add to the huge amount that has been donated to the very worthy cause.  Over $500,000 has been raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by the Trophy Cup.”
