This fall, Ford dealerships will finally take delivery of the 2017 F-150 Raptor, the extreme off-road pickup that debuted more than a year ago, but that we’ve seen precious little of since. Sure, Ford has shown it off during some tests, and the automaker regularly touts the Raptor’s aluminum body and 450 horsepower 3.5 liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine. But we’re people of action, and Ford has finally given us a taste of just what the Raptor can do.

Ford has dropped the first video in a six-part series showcasing the Raptor’s performance potential as engineers test it across the unforgiving hardscapes of the Mojave desert.

The first video will highlight the F-150 Raptor’s off-road agility and capability while video two focuses on the all-new BF Goodrich KO2 Tires. The third video discusses the six preset driving modes that optimize F-150 Raptor’s performance for virtually every terrain, a feature many fans have been particularly interested in.

For the fourth video, Ford will focus on the long-travel suspension that is the crown jewel of F-150 Raptor, while video five talks about how great design enhances F-150 Raptor’s capability. The final video will go in-depth into the Raptor’s ultimate off-road capability, and hopefully give us a good look at what the new Raptor can do. Considering it is up to 500 pounds lighter, about 20% more powerful, and utilizes an all-new ten-speed automatic transmission, Ford still has a lot to talk about between now and its imminent release.

At least we finally have some hot Raptor action to drool over in the meantime.
