The 2013 Cobra Jet Mustang is an exciting car for a number of reasons, chief among them that the new Cobra Jet could very well be the quickest production car in the world. 2012 has brought us yet another iteration of the Cobra Jet, and you better believe that it has only gotten better and better.

Last week we brought you news of the 2013 Cobra Jet’s debut at Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn, Oregon. Now we have the first ever competitive pass of a 2013 Cobra Jet out of U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan…and the results are damn impressive.

The run was done with 24-year old Drew Skillman at the wheel, who managed to pull off an impress 6.02 at over 115 mph. That’s in the 1/8th mile, we must mention, and though Skillman’s run was impressive, fellow competitor Bo Butner snagged the overall victory in another Mustang Cobra Jet.

This marks the first competitive run of the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet. Gary Coe backed out during qualifying last week, leaving it up to Skillman to become the first to take a Cobra Jet down the strip for a real race. It’s good to see the Cobra Jet in its natural habitat And doesn’t it sound just devilishly delicious? We certainly think so.
