Just in case you have not noticed, the wild and wooly motorsport known as rock bouncing has become huge. A few years ago, the Southern Rock Racing Series (SRRS) was created to formalize a string of events that had been going on for years as local rock bouncing competitions into a nationally recognized racing series with a points chase, sponsorships, trophies, and legitimate prize money.

Today, rock bouncers and their out-of-this-world powerful buggies have competed all over the country, and have gained a reputation as serious competitors in off-racing events such as King Of The Hammers, held in Johnson Valley, California.

However, what seemed like a motorsport destined to be dominated by men, rock bouncing has recently begun to offer up a batch of very serious and talented female drivers too. One of the newest of these successfully competitive woman to be in the limelight lately is 16-year-old Sydney Rockwell. Like much of the rock bouncing fraternity, Sydney is part of a rock bouncing family. Her Dad has been racing for years, and is her biggest supporter.

Sydney has become so good at it, that she recently scored a win during an event held at Rush Off Road Park, just outside of Rush, Kentucky. In fact, she whooped some of the biggest names in rock bouncing at the Rush Off Road Hill Climb, even beating her Dad, to take the event win.
