In this day and age 10seconds or fewer of elapsed time passing in the quarter mile is becoming increasingly commonplace. Even as recently as a few years ago tens were only attainable if you had a heap of cash to throw at your car and were willing to forget about drivability. Seeing a 10 second car today, even a ten second street car isn’t all that out of the ordinary.

It’s only routine that with said quickness becoming more attainable, enthusiasts start focusing on doing something a little different. Quick Fox bodies are about as common as bananas are yellow, right? So it takes a lot for a fast Fox to catch our eyes.

It’s almost as if it came from the factory like this.

What the owner of this Mustang chose to do with his stallion is quite impressive. First and foremost, he introduced a 5.o liter Coyote power plant to the notchback pictured here. Even though we’ve seen it before there is a reason why the swap is becoming a “thing” in the Ford community. The Coyote engine definitely provides a more powerful base and is more pleasing to look at. As we said, it isn’t the first, but we can guarantee you that he’s come up with something that will give this Mustang owner an A+ on his originality report card.

The art of drag racing has come so far.

The vehicle was not only driven over an hour to the track, but it also pulled a trailer full of tools and tires for the span of the journey (it’s safe to assume he made it back too). While it isn’t fully enclosed or anything like that, the goodie hauler being pulled by the “goodie” isn’t something that we see every day. After a quick cool down, the owner then manages to reel in a 10.87 @128 mph with only basic bolt-on parts on the Coyote paired with an aggressive tire to complement the swap. It seems like this already awesome build is also high on potential!

Who knows? Maybe he could tow the first ten second trailer!
