Tanner Foust has made a name for himself driving fast cars all over the world. His latest endeavors include co-hosting the US variant of Top Gear, and driving a Ford in the Global Rallycross championship series.

His involvement with Ford, also gets him some unique opportunities for seat time in a variety of Ford vehicles, including the soon to be released Fiesta ST. Foust recently had the opportunity to take the latest edition to the high performance ST family around the Nurburgring, that infamous track in Germany that seems to have become a statement in performance for every auto maker on the planet. From hipsters to hardcore enthusiasts, everyone wants to know what the latest high performance cars are capable of on this wild track, though few will ever get to drive it.

Foust takes the car around the Ring in his usual fashion, making a few comments as he goes, but withholding most of it until after the drive is over. He’s quick to point out that the small 1.6 EcoBoost turbo makes excellent power, and even sounds good. Foust also talks about the Fiesta ST’s excellent turning capability. That’s some high praise from a guy that is often critical of many of the cars he drives.

The video is a nice mix of in car point of view, and in car camera on Foust, as well as several rolling shots of the Fiesta ST on the track. The only thing we wish for more of in this video is some sound. You can hear the car a little, but not nearly as much as we’d like due to the music soundtrack. Even with that though, this video gets us excited about the newest addition to the ST line, we can’t wait to see what this car is capable of when hits the streets in the USA.
