Twenty eighteen may just be right around the corner, but many in the aftermarket aren’t waiting until the new year to dive into the capabilities of the all-new Gen 3 Coyote-powered Mustang. If you’ve been keeping score at home in the last few weeks, then you’ve probably already seen what the 2018 can do in bone-stock form.

Moreover, we’ve seen these cars already breaking into the 10-second barrier with power adders. The crew at Steeda Autosports is developing a range of go-fast components for these cars, and even puts its all-new cold air intake system to the test. Upgrading Steeda’s 10R80-equipped Mustang with the CAI yielded a full tenth in the quarter mile — dropping the e.t. from 12.24 at 117 to 12.11 at 118 mph — and that was without a tune.

Fortunately for everyone, Steeda has big plans for its 2018 Mustang. The company will continue developing and testing the parts it will sell to consumers.

“Our goal with this 2018 Mustang is to go as fast as possible for as little as possible,” Steeda says in its video above. “Simple bolt-on upgrades that you can do to your everyday driver – drive it to work and back each day, take it to the drag strip on a Friday night, and lay down some really impressive numbers. We’ve got a lot coming up for this vehicle. We’re very excited about it, and we can’t wait to show you how she transforms along the road.”
