Finding quality components for a reasonable price is something that every racer contemplates throughout the lifespan of race car. QA1 is well known for their commitment to quality as well as having an excellent price point for their merchandise. For those looking for a durable shock that is rebuildable and revalveable, then the QA1 16 Series Aluminum Threaded Body Shock Absorber is a great option. For those interested in learning about the revalving, then take a few minutes to watch a video that explains the entire process. This shock is easily adjustable thanks to a Schrader valve that allows the user to adjust the gas pressure with great ease to meet the needs of the racing surface. Along with the adjustability of the shock, QA1 offers custom valving as well.  From the roughest dirt track to the hard surface conditions this shock is destined to meet the needs of late model racers.

Despite the lightweight of aluminum, these shocks are incredibly durable and have been dyno tested to ensure performance. According to QA1, the threaded shock body is manufactured using hard anodized 6061 aluminum for corrosion resistance. Corrosion resistance is important for the harsh conditions found at most dirt tracks. Along with the other added benefits, this product features linear, digressive, and linear digressive valving. These options provide drivers with the feel that they need to find success on the track; for those who have more specific needs QA1 offers the new Hi-Lo piston, which allows for further refinement.

Like many of QA1’s monotube shocks, these lines of aluminum body shocks are rebuildable.

If you think that rebuilding a QA1 shock is too difficult, then check out this video and see if you change your mind:
