For years, those of us in the United States had the Mustang mostly to ourselves, so we benefited from all the extras, including aftermarket parts and factory goodies. Now that the pony car is a global sensation, other parts of the world are getting some Mustang extras we might envy.

Case in point is Pocket Mustang, which thus far, Ford has promoted in places like India and New Zealand. Designed to market the currently available Mustang, this mobile website lets you play virtually on your phone and even let people know you were goofing off.

As the promo image says, Pocket Mustang lets you “Unleash your inner Mustang, anywhere.” At least anywhere you have an internet connection and a flat surface. You know, like at work.

“If you are a Ford Mustang lover (and who is not?) and want a taste of the mighty Mustang before actually purchasing the vehicle, you can now do so. Well, kind of. Ford has rolled out a web-based app that lets you turn you smartphone into a Mustang car,” says Ford. “Pocket Mustang, as the name goes, lets you drift a virtual Ford Mustang by moving your smartphone. Once you’re done, you can also directly share the video of your drift on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.”

Fortunately — or unfortunately if you were planning to be productive today — this is not an app locked to a regional app store, rather it is a mobile web app, so you can visit it by clicking this link or scanning the QR code in some of the images we posted here.

While it looks and acts like an app, Pocket Mustang is actually a mobile web site, so you can share in the fun no matter what country you live in.
