A little over a year ago, we were contacted by our friend Lionel Fietier from Mulhouse, France, to share his wild music video with us: Fastback ’70s. The video featured some awesome classic musclecars and lots of great action with a cool song about driving down Route 66, with some interesting characters.
Lionel’s friends call him Lion Hell, and his band “OIL-LEN” is also a word play on his name. He contacted us again with another cool video that features a few cool cars, including a 1968 Camaro and a Buick GS400. However, as you watch the video a few other classic muscle makes the scene, too, like a second gen Firebird and Camaro, and a classic Corvette.
We asked about this video, and he said it was shot in Didier Schevenement‘s Sixty Six Autoshop in Riedisheim, France. It’s a shop that specializes in classic American muscle and has plenty of room for all of these classics. The entire video was shot in about three hours with Lion Hell planning and directing it, and much like Fastback ’70s it features cool cars, hot girls, a great tune, and it looks like they had a lot of fun making the music video.
Lion Hell tells us that one of his dreams is to be able to come to America and put on a concert. Though Fastback ’70s seemed to take place down Route 66, it was actually an airstrip in France that was used for the music video. We find it very cool that even though he speaks very little English, he uses a translator to write many of his songs and loves writing songs in English – and their fans don’t seem to mind the language barrier.
One of their latest tours is called the ” target=”_blank”>Caprice Tour, because Lion Hell found a classic Caprice in a yard and took the front end home to modify it. It’s now used on stage for lighting and as a front for their keyboards, fully wired to flash the lights out to the audience.
