Die-hard Toyota off-road fans already know that the TRD Pro lineup is all about serious capability wrapped in bold style. But each model year also brings a little something extra: An exclusive TRD Pro color. For 2026, Toyota is turning heads with Wave Maker, a deep, icy blue that’s ready to make waves on and off the trail.
Wave Maker: A New Shade Of TRD Pro Off-Road Attitude
According to Toyota, Wave Maker isn’t just a color, it’s a vibe. It’s a bold signal to the world that you’re not afraid to go where others won’t. Whether you’re bashing dunes in the Tundra TRD Pro or crawling over rocks in the Tacoma TRD Pro, Wave Maker looks right at home on the trail and stands out in the city.
This electrifying blue was dreamed up by Toyota’s CALTY Design Studio, the same crew behind past TRD Pro colors like Inferno, Voodoo Blue, and Solar Octane. After several years of earthy tones like Terra and Mudbath, the CALTY team wanted to shake things up with something colder, deeper, and more mysterious.
“We were inspired by places most people have never been—glacial depths, outer space, the edges of exploration,” said Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager at CALTY’s Ann Arbor location. “Wave Maker reflects that sense of discovery. It’s elemental, fresh, and fearless.”
TRD Pro Tradition Meets Fresh Adventure
TRD Pro fans love the exclusivity of these colors, and the legacy is real. Since 2015, Toyota has released a new one each year, and collectors and enthusiasts alike eagerly await the next evolution. Wave Maker is the 11th in the series, and it might just be one of the boldest yet.
Past TRD Pro exclusive colors have included Inferno (2015), Quicksand (2016), Cement (2017), Cavalry Blue (2018), Voodoo Blue (2019), Army Green (2020), Lunar Rock (2021), Electric Lime (2022), Solar Octane (2023), Terra (2024), and Mudbath (2025).
Coming Fall 2025
The 2026 TRD Pro models, which includes 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia, decked out in Wave Maker will start hitting Toyota dealerships in fall of 2025. If you’ve been thinking about leveling up your off-road game, this might be your color—and your year.
