Imagine the excitement. Like a child awaiting that one most-wished for gift, there are only 500 Ford GT loyalists slated to receive the first batch of second-gen production supercars. Over 6,506 people attempted to qualify for the EcoBoost-powered machine, but now the first of those who made the cut in Europe are receiving their cars.

The first owner to take possession of this incredible conveyance is Jason Watt, a race driver from Denmark. As the former owner of a 2005 Ford GT, he is well versed in the supercar. His will be even more unique, however, as he was paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle crash, so his new GT is being converted to hand controls. It will also wear a roof rack to transport his wheelchair.

The first Ford GT supercars are being delivered to European customers. One of the early examples featured this retro Gulf-style paint scheme.

“My Ford GT is probably the world’s fastest car that can park in disabled parking spaces,” Jason said when he received his GT in Copenhagen.

So, if you happen to see a GT blasting around Scandinavia with a wheelchair on its roof, you will know it was one of the first models delivered to Europe and its driver definitely knows how to drive a special car like this.
