The folks at West Coast Customs might be known for crazy and outlandish car builds with espresso makers adorning the interior or something along those lines, but you don’t have to be a fan of caffeinated interiors to enlist this SoCal company to build your dream car for you. When Andy Campanaro wanted to build his wife Sandy a ’Stang of her own, he commissioned WCC to build a purple 1968 Mustang convertible for her 50th birthday.

No stranger to the company’s work after that project, Andy enlisted WCC to build the Fox Mustang he had always dreamed of having in high school. There are no wild body modifications or interior frills implemented on this teenage dream machine. WCC built Andy’s Fox in a modern style by upgrading the brakes, suspension, and body modifications such as new headlights with 21st century lighting. Eschewing a modern engine swap, this Fox struts like one should with a revamped 5.0-liter pushrod V8, which is kind of refreshing.

“They hit it out of the park,” Andy’s wife, Sandy enthused. “It’s perfect – it’s absolutely perfect. West Coast (Customs) nailed it.”

That’s quite the endorsement from your significant other, but then again when, you’re the recipient of your own Mustang to match, you would be thrilled too.

“That car is amazing – it’s dead-on,” Andy added. “I feel like I’m 16 years old again, like I went back and actually got the car that I wanted…”

As we’ve noted before, Mustangs like this Fox have a habit of bringing back old memories and making us feel like kids again, and we love it.
