A Rare Pair Of Pristine Pontiacs

GM might have killed Pontiac in 2010, but that hasn’t stopped those who love the brand from showing off their rides. Pontiac gave us iconic cars like the Trans Am, and cool lesser-known cars like the Can Am. In this video, we get to see Mark Sivek’s cool collection of Pontiacs, including an ultra-rare 1977 Cam Am.

Mark’s numbers matching 1980 Trans Am is packing the smaller 4.9 Pontiac mill. Mark purchased the car from a person who was thinking about LS-swapping the bird, but just couldn’t go through with the surgery.  The car has been lowered 1.5 inches and it rolls on reproduction snowflake wheels. The trim was refreshed to factory specs and the Trans Am still has an eight-track player in the dash.

The Pontiac Can Am was only produced in 1977, and there aren’t many examples of these cars still in the wild. These full-size beasts came in white and had the Pontiac 400 cubic-inch powerplant under the hood. The Can Am package also came with special decals, blacked-out trim, a spoiler, and a unique interior. Mark has meticulously restored his Can Am to a nearly-new finish. There were less than 1,500 cars ever produced, so chances are you’ll probably not see one of these at a show anytime soon.

You’ll want to watch this entire video from JC Fernandez so you can learn more about this pair of cool Pontiac rides. We also get to see a couple of other cool cars that Mark has stashed away in his storage unit.
