For many Americans, their first chance to see the 2015 Ford Mustang in action will come with the debut of the much-hyped Need For Speed movie. Starring Aaron Paul, a souped-up Shelby GT500, and with a cameo performance from the 2015 Mustang, this Blue Oval-powered movie will give Mustang fans something to talk about, for better or worse.

Now we’ve got the first official 2015 Mustang commercial, and while it shares some of its 30 seconds with clips from the Need For Speed movie, the real star here is the all-new ‘Stang.

The commercial asks a simple question; when you’ve been accused, arrested, and locked up, can a brand new car put all that behind you? That’s what Aaron Paul has to ask himself in the Need For Speed movie, and the former Breaking Bad star is one of the first people in the world to sit behind the wheel of a 2015 Mustang.

Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot going on here except for the guttural growl of what we can only assume is the 2015 Mustang’s 5.0 liter V8. Ford is promoting the Need For Speed movie as heavily as GM got behind the Transformers series, and the movie industry could definitely use a new car-centric movie franchise. Can the 2015 Mustang put Need For Speed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
