The Axial SCX10 is a stout little off-roader. Bringing our typical “big boy toy” mentality into a compact form at a fraction of the cost of building a 1:1 version. The SCX10 is a 1/10 scale semi-replica remote control rock crawler that is available in several styles and bodies. It is a great way to get a rig dirty without ever having to leave your couch or driveway.

Sporting a metal frame chassis and straight axles, these R/C crawlers are chock full of innovative technology. A small electric motor, such as the Axial 27T that is available in current production SCX10s, turns a transmission that can be geared down as low as 74:1 for ultra-low crawling. The transmission turns small driveshafts that provide power to the differentials.

Outfitted with a scale remote-controlled snowplow, this little Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has been put to work; turning a mundane chore of shoveling the walk way into playtime.  YouTuber Andrew Dykiel most likely didn’t expect the attention his little snowplowing Jeep would get. At the time of this writing, there are two videos of the Axial doing work; one at just over 71,000 views and the other at over 45,000. The more popular of the two shows two minutes and 40 seconds of Andrew’s “hard work.”
