SEMA 2013: Covercraft Mustang 50th Anniversary and Covers for Causes

Earlier this year Ford licensed 50 companies to create products using their Mustang 50 Years logo, in celebration for the upcoming 2014 50th anniversary of America’s original pony car. Covercraft was one of those companies that was fortunate enough to get permission from Ford to use the logo, the company’s Rick Messmore told us, “Fifty years of continuous production for a car is a big deal, and we wanted to be a part of it.”

Covercraft is making the 50 years logo available on all of their Mustang covers, including their new Fleeced Satin indoor cover. The Fleeced Satin cover is intended for indoor use with a woven polyester shell, and soft fleeced underside. The fleeced underside helps protect the vehicle’s finish.

The fifty years logo is also available on Covercraft’s UVS1000 ultraviolet shield’s. These fit in the dash of a car, each car is unique, and so are the shades. The 50 years logo is placed in the center, and Mustang owners can show a little pride in the upcoming anniversary of their car with these shades. UVS1000 shades have a felt material on the inside and a reflective material on the inside to reduce interior temperatures, and also protect the interior from UV damage that occurs with continual exposure even on cars with today’s high-tech interior materials.

Helping A Good Cause

Covercraft is also involved in helping raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Covercraft is donating a portion of the profits from sales of their pink NOAH car covers, and pink UVS1000 sunshades to various breast cancer organizations through their Covers for Causes program. “A large number of car product consumers and our customers are women, and we wanted to do something for them,” Messmore told us.

NOAH covers feature a barrier fabric to block water, but allow the cover to also breathe, making them ideal for vehicles exposed to the elements. Both the NOAH cover and the UVS1000 sunshades feature the Covercraft Covers for Causes logo.
