PRI 2024: Bilstein Unveils Direct-Fit B8 8112 DSA+ For Ford Bronco

At the 2024 PRI Show, Bilstein unveiled its new B8 8112 DSA+ direct-fit suspension kit for the 2021-2024 Ford Bronco. This is a major development, as the company claims that never has so much capability been packed into a direct-fit suspension kit. It’s a significant win for Bronco owners.

Three Compression Zones, Two Rebound Zones

Among other things, the Bilstein B8 8112 DSA+ suspension kits feature ZoneControl CR, which offers position-sensitive damping with three compression zones and two rebound zones, controlled by three independent pistons. The result is a comfortable ride during daily driving, along with adjustable control for large suspension inputs when off-road.

The DSA+ offers Dual Speed Adjustable Compression (high- and low-speed) with an adjustable JCO (internal hydraulic bumpstop). This provides bottom-out control via a two-stage, telescoping internal compression stop. It can be adjusted to your preference and eliminates the need for an external bumpstop. On the rebound side, a secondary rebound stop dissipates the energy of the spring following large compression events, stabilizing the suspension. The secondary rebound stop also eliminates harsh suspension top-out and the need for a limit strap.

Threaded Spring Seat, Aluminum-Finned Reservoir, And More

Each Bilstein B8 8112 DSA+ includes an adjustable threaded spring seat, allowing you to fine-tune your Bronco’s ride height. It’s adjustable from 0 to 3.3 inches, depending on the model. The aerospace-quality components used in construction are vehicle-specific to optimize wheel travel and clearance. Each DSA+ has an aluminum-finned 60mm ID remote-reservoir that increases oil capacity for improved cooling. Additionally, there are beefy mounts with durable chrome 5/8-inch Heim joints and rubber-sealed misalignment spacers.

Owner Rebuildable And Revalvable

Each coilover is delivered ready to install as a complete module, with the spring pre-loaded to the factory-recommended ride height. Additionally, the U.S.-made DSA+ is owner-rebuildable and revalvable, and it comes with a limited two-year warranty.

The new Bilstein B8 8112 DSA+ is available for two-door or four-door 2021-2024 Ford Broncos, with the Sasquatch package or without the Sasquatch or Badlands packages. Don’t own a Bronco? At the PRI Show, Bilstein’s Shane Casad told us that new applications for the Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, and 4Runner will be arriving in 2025.
