With a 4.1-liter stroker kit, twin GT35Rs, PPG gears, a built rear differential, and a fairly understated exterior, some people might be surprised when they see this GT-R spin all four NT05 tires down the street. Built by English Racing, this subtle Nissan is now in the possession of Canadian figure skating phenom Patrick Chan, though it was formerly the car of none other than Paul Walker.
Walker was well-known as a Nissan enthusiast, owning an R34 GT-R as well as this car before his passing, and he made a well-known trip to Japan to visit Michizo Niikura and demo a few of the illustrious Mine’s GT-Rs. However, this car was not in the full state it is now during Walker’s ownership – that was completed afterwards.

Only a carbon trunk, blued exhaust tips and very sticky tires suggest that this car can make 1,300 horsepower comfortably.
The car is very clearly oriented for street usage, as it retains the rear seats despite using a half-cage. The daily-driven GT-R runs on E85 and uses rolling anti-lag to wake those sizable snails up – they’re not very peppy under 4,500 rpm. However, once that boost kicks in, it’s capable of lighting up all four 305-section tires, which are nearly drag radials.
The turbo kit alone costs somewhere around $20,000, and the car’s upgrade list topped somewhere around $120,000! Clearly, not an inexpensive car, but when you’re an ice skating star like Chan, it’s within your budget. Time to don those skates and work on my triple lutzes.
