Over the years, Lego has produced popular vehicles in its Technic line for enthusiasts to build, and test their modelling skills. The kits have come a long way, and this Porsche 911 GT3 RS kit is a great testament to that.
There are some great Technic kits out there, but Lego really outdid themselves on this one. The Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS kit debuted recently at the 2016 Nuremberg Toy Fair, and it is pretty on-point. Although Porsche doesn’t use heavy camouflage to hide significant updates and curves with their test vehicles, it actually looks pretty cool on the Technic 911 GT3 RS. As you can see in the video, the wheels look exactly like the actual GT3 RS wheels, as do the tires.
Details about the kit are scarce at the moment, but it looks like the steering will work, along with the gearbox, as there is an adjustable shift lever on the center console. At the same time, we could be wrong, being that Porsche’s newest track monster only comes configured with a 7-speed PDK gearbox. The interior of the car is just as detailed as the exterior, with two bucket seats and the roll cage that comes with the clubsport package.
There’s no word if Lego will keep the swirly camouflage when the kit is released, but it is a cool theme to debut the kit with. We know for a fact that we’ll be picking up one of these kits when they go on sale. Judging by the price of other automotive Technic kits, this kit should top $100. Be on the lookout for these sweet kits!
