It’s not often you find yourself sitting in a supercharged 350Z, squaring up with a 991 GT3, and rifling through the gears on an unoccupied freeway. Given the stats between the two, the winner isn’t obvious. Plus, each driver’s ego could remain intact since a suitable excuse is available to both parties.
If the Porsche were to lose, its driver could always make the argument that a modified car will trounce a high-end sports car, given it’s well-tuned. Conversely, the man piloting the Z always has the price argument in his back pocket if things don’t go his way.
By the looks of it, however, this is a lighthearted romp; no pink slips nor big egos were on the line. Not that surprisingly, the driver of the Nissan short-shifts from fourth to fifth, the wailing Porsche slips by, edging away ever so convincingly until a mysterious third party appears.

Neither the Nissan nor the Porsche driver expected to be overtaken by such an ordinary-looking machine.
Though the sound itself isn’t foretelling, the whoosh that follows the screaming Porsche is accompanied by very rapid, first-generation Volkswagen Golf. Considering how the most powerful version of this car produced a paltry 110 horsepower, this one’s clearly had a bit of work done to it.
As the understated Volkswagen soars by the Z as if it was standing still, it pursues the Porsche and quickly overtakes it, making both cars look pretty slow. Though it could be assumed the Porsche’s driver mightn’t have enjoyed being passed, the Nissan driver loves it; laughing and howling all the way.
