When you and your significant other share a passion for motorsport, there’s plenty of potential for an exciting weekend — but rarely will that weekend involve Circuit de Spa Francorchamps and an incredibly rare Ferrari hypercar. Flying through the pouring rain and showing some considerable bravery through fearsome corners like Eau Rouge, Christine Sloss drives the FXX-K like it was meant to be driven.
An avid motorsports enthusiast, Sloss has attended Skip Barber’s driving school several years ago to refine her skills in single-seater formula cars, and since has moved up a bit in terms of performance. To complement the yellow 458 she drives on a daily basis, her FXX-K is painted bright yellow, matching her racing gear ensemble.
It seems as if Sloss isn’t daunted by the $3,000,000 price tag this track-only LaFerrari carries as she flogs the car around the historic Belgian racetrack. The roaring V12 spits out 1,035 horsepower and propels her down the long straights and out of the unrelenting corners in this picturesque circuit nestled in the middle of the Ardennes forest.
As the track dries, Sloss shows real aggression coming out of La Source and entering the daunting Pouhon corner. In the case of the first corner, she lights up the rears, squirming ever so slightly as she applies the megaton payload to the asphalt. It must be said that the car looks so composed and capable, but seeing as this is the most performance Ferrari will sell to mere mortals — barring F1 cars, of course — we shouldn’t be too surprised.
