Lunati has redesigned one of its existing products, as well as introduced something new at this year’s PRI Show. The products are great for anything, from new school to old school applications. The redesigned Voodoo crankshafts have a new lightweight version out of the same 4340 steel forgings that all the Voodoo crankshafts have been manufactured from.

The lightweight crankshafts feature gundrilled mains, pendulum-cut counterwights, lightened rod journals, and a star-cut rear flange for maximum reduction in weight and rotational inertia.

“The Voodoo lightweight crankshafts are around eight to 10 pounds lighter than a normal one. The cranks are also fully heat-treated and nitrided for long-term wear resistance,” said Kirk Peters as he spoke about the new design.

Peters explained their other new product,”Our Bootlegger camshafts are for the street rodder guys that want thumping exhaust noise. With an improved manufacturing process we are able to achieve that noise, and still increase power output.”

The Bootlegger camshafts feature an aggressive design that provides plenty of low- and mid-range power. These camshafts are offered in stock replacement all the way up to maximum power versions. “We bought a crate motor, pulled the cam out, and replaced it with ours. With the motor back on the dyno we were able to get 40 more horsepower,” Peters continued.
