Video: Introducing A Crazy High Powered Dodge Rat Rod Truck

Already mentioned in our sister publication Diesel Army, we discovered this rat rod build at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Focusing on the custom end of things, let’s jump into some of the unique features of this Dodge pickup turned rat rod from Engine Swap Depot.

Built by Premier Performance Products, this truck was named “Six Pack” because of its inline six Cummins diesel mill and its insane six bottles of nitrous sitting out back in the truck’s bed respectively. The project began with a 1994 Dodge Ram 2WD diesel truck, which was inadvertently stripped bare to its frame.

Much fabrication took place on the frame, where its back half was cut to fit a 1940s Dodge 1-1/2 ton truck cab. Keepings things low, Six Pack was fitted with an air bag suspension system, allowing for virtually any stance at the touch of a button.

Churning over 1,100 horsepower on its first dyno run, the team at Premier were definitely in for a real treat with this monstrous build. The team’s primary goal is to tune the boost settings to carve out around 1,300-plus horsepower and 3,000 lb-ft of torque on fuel alone and 1,500-plus with nitrous in the mix.

Notably, the drivetrain features a BD Performance 47RH-RE Track Master automatic transmission and a Triple TorqueForce converter, which bangs through gears like a formula dragster. What is essentially the love child of hot rodding and tuning, this rat rod does nothing but turn heads wherever it goes.

It certainly garnered tons of attention at SEMA, and we want to see what is in store for this wondrous custom. What are your thoughts? Is there too much going on here? Be sure to leave your comments and opinions below. Don’t forget to stay tuned for the full feature on this high powered rat rod on Diesel Army.
