End of summer BBQs are a popular tradition for the Labor Day weekend. But we present here 45 seconds of agony in the form of a Car-B-Que in living color from Dubai. The horror show stars that supercar among supercars; the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce (SV). The video, which shows the disaster in effect-cause order, came from Almuraba.net. It starts with the smoldering, melted Lambo than flashes for about 15 seconds of flame. This is one of the first burndowns of an Aventador and it hurts to watch. It looks like things went awry quickly as the car is still in the street. The action started in the rear engine compartment area and worked its way forward.
The car itself is almost unrecognizable after the fire department is finished dousing it. The only lingering remnants are the bright yellow fascia and wheels. The interior looks especially like a melted pile of leather and plastic.
The Lamborghini Aventador SV is the most performance-focused version of the Aventador. It has a 6.5-liter V12 and 750 horsepower. So there’s a lot of fire power under the hood—both literally and figuratively. The SV is the top performing of the Aventador line. It is lighter than the rest with a 750 horsepower V12 that displaces 6.5 liter dispensing the adrenalin. The car scoots to 60 mph in 2.8 second and tops out at 217 mph plus, making it the world’s fastest roadster. The price tag for one of these high strung Italians is right around $530,000.
So the next time you’re on the back deck flipping burgers and rolling hot dog up and down the grille, remember some supercar owner out there could be watch flames of different kind.
