Tara Bush has always had a passion for cars. In the beginning she started with drag racing, but after some issues with that car her mother decided she needed something slower. After she received a 6-cylinder Nova, Tara developed a new love for car culture in the form of show cars.

She attributes her interest in collector cars with the knowledge gained from the older generation of car guys.

These gentleman helped explain the progression of the early days of hot rods through the muscle car era, which provided Tara with the foundational knowledge for her future collection. Bush was interviewed for the Hot Rods, Customs & Classics show and provided a guided tour of her automotive investment.

“I’m a lady and these are my cars!”

Although Bush’s collection is small, each of the cars has sentimental value or is a desirable model that found its way to her.

According to Bush’s biography on LinkedIn, she built and sold a wholesale floral company. The profits of the sale of the company, allowed Bush to finally explore her passion for automobiles and the automotive industry. Bush could have invested her profits in the stock market or real estate, but she elected to invest in classic cars.

Among the cars in Tara’s collection is a Shelby GT 500.

At present she has seven cars, including that 6-cylinder Nova that led to her to the car show circuit. Her collection includes a 1970 AAR Cuda with a 340, 6pack, pistol grip shifter, and the TransAm package and a Shelby GT 500. Currently, Bush takes her investments to shows in Florida along with organizing automotive events near the Orlando, Florida area.
