In an epic roasting of rubber, a C5 Corvette Burnout results in a fiery display of how to cook your brakes. Just about every gearhead loves a good burnout, putting that pedal down to the metal in a smoky showing of awesomeness. That being said, this driver must have been unsure of the full extent of the damage this display would cost him. A new set of tires and brakes does not come cheap, but that may be the least of his concerns at this point.

No doubt that it was an impressive burnout, but the owner seemed blissfully unaware that his car was catching fire. Bystanders capture the full display on video, but apparently never bothered to clue this guy in. This tire shredding action taking place at Americruise 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska; an annual event known for the gathering of some of the sickest rods and custom cars from across the nation. This C5 lighting it up, definitely gave one hell of a showing.  

Unfortunately, this cool nighttime showing resulted in a wicked display of spontaneous combustion filling the air with the sweet smell of burning rubber and brakes. We can pretty well assume that this undoubtedly cost the owner a pretty penny, while the spectating gearheads got their fill of excitement.

By far one of the coolest displays of power to the pavement we have seen in a while, but would any of you go to this extreme for the sake of bragging rights?
