Ultra Street favorite and all-around good guy Robby “Robby PubFortySix” Corujo has already grabbed a replacement chassis as a platform to rebuild following his wall smack during qualifying at Lights Out 6. He and his crew are thrashing to swap the turbo powertrain from the crashed ride into the new car, also a Mustang of the Fox Body variety.

Hans at FreeLifeFilms.com caught this excellent footage of the mishap at SGMP. In the video, you see Rob staging alongside Patrick Clenney in qualifying for X275, which Corujo often runs along with Ultra Street. When the green drops, both cars launch hard, with Rob’s ride toting the wheels well past the 60′ timers. Luckily, Clenney’s big block-powered car was able to jump out on Corujo, as a broken A-Arm sent the New Jersey native spinning left into the wall in Clenney’s lane. The car did a complete 180 before pancaking the wall with the passenger side, then sliding to a stop in the middle of the lane.

Rob took a moment to compose himself before exiting the car under his own power, and reported no injuries from the crash, once again showing the importance of safety equipment and a well-built chassis. Even though this was a relatively low-speed crash, it could have definitely caused some major problems had Corujo not taken all necessary safety measures.
