Mini Coopers are true cult classics in the automotive world. From the Austin Minis that were produced in Europe long ago to their larger siblings here in the States, the Mini Cooper marque made its mark  internationally by participating in rally and road racing starting in the late ’50s. This small car, big success formula gave birth to a revolution.

Europe based EVO Magazine recently gathered four Mini Coopers of different variations and decided to race them against each other on the Bedford Autodrome. The cars and drivers consist of the Mini Challenge S275 piloted by Jethro Bovingdon, the 2013 John Cooper Works GP with Marino Franchitti behind the wheel, the Mini Challenge JCW piloted by Dickie Meaden, and the 2006 Cooper S Works GP driven by Andy Wallace.

This shaped up to be quite a battle. It should be noted that the two slower cars got a head start compared to the track-prepped cars. This short three-lap showdown is dedicated to Best Motoring.
