We have interviewed dozens of off-road racers over the years, and one of the questions we frequently ask is, “Why do you race off-road?”
Some do it for the thrills, while others are in it for the ego, and some are honest enough to say it’s because this is what they are really good at and it’s how they make their living. Others do it to promote their company, or race off-road to test out parts to make sure they are up to snuff.
Greg Adler is the CEO of 4Wheel Parts, one of the largest retailers of off-road and truck parts and accessories in the entire country, and they even have some international stores. 4Wheel Parts can deliver everything from axles to lights for your off-road needs, whether it be for competition or recreation. Adler’s job, aside from helping to run a multi-million dollar business is to promote the company and test parts they are selling through his off-road racing efforts. He also told us that he gets a real kick out of it, and would be doing it even if he was not the CEO of a company that sells off-road equipment.
The video above features Adler and some of the racing he participates in, including Lucas Oil Off Road Racing short-course action and Ultra4 Racing desert off-road racing. He talks about his 2014 racing season, how things went, and what they hope to improve upon for 2015 in an effort to win more races. If you want to get inside the mind of an extremely competitive off-road racer, then take the time to check out this video.
