For those who are true musclecar fans, especially Mopar, it’s probably very difficult to get used to the new FCA logo and to say goodbye to the Pentastar. Be that as it may, times are changing and while that Italian company wants to turn all the Mopars into Fiats and Alfas, one car that truly stood out this past year and made some headlines was the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, which is listed as the most powerful production musclecar ever.

While it’s true that the car has more electronics and gadgetry than you would expect from a musclecar, it’s still an incredible machine that has performance right out of the box, and found that out first hand when we borrowed one for a week. We knew everyone else said it was fast and we watched all the videos, but even though we wanted to do something different we just couldn’t resist ” target=”_blank”>doing a couple of burnouts of our own.

Of course, Dodge ate up every minute of the burnout hype and they knew that every car they loaned out to us media people was going to be subject to skinning the hides. When we saw the ” target=”_blank”>video above show up on the FCA YouTube page (they can’t completely get away from the Pentastar now, can they?), we knew that they weren’t the least bit disappointed in using up their tire allotment for the year.

While we were familiar with many of the wild burnouts that made their way to the video, there was one burnout that we were surprised not to see in the video. It was none other than our friend Ralph Gilles smoking out the crowd at Chryslers at Carlisle this past year. So we decided to add that to the list and give you a glimpse of that factory-sponsored burnout below. It never seems to get old, does it? Let’s see Chevy and Ford follow suit and give us a Z-28 and GT350 burnout video, right? It’s all in good fun and for the spirit of the competition.
